In Koru Two We will...

Our Learning Journey in Koru Two

First we explored the Treaty of Waitangi. Watching a short animation we learnt about some of the things that made the treaty controversial. We dicovered that 'buy in' was really important,  that all people must have a say and be included in any treaty process. Also we found out that people may have a different interpretation of what is being said and that this needed to be really clear from the start.

In groups we discussed our ideas for a class treaty. Once we recorded our ideas we reported these back to the class and the teacher collated them all on the whiteboard. After further discussion we voted on the ideas we thought were most important for our class treaty. The graphs represent these results. Many of our ideas were eliminated because no one voted for them.
